Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI processes information needed to provide the service, including account identifiers and contact information, golfer profile details, swing-analysis results, coaching conversations, entitlement and purchase-status information, support communications and technical information used to operate and secure the app.

2. Swing videos and analysis data

Swing videos selected or recorded in the app are used to perform the requested analysis. The app creates analysis measurements, phase results, scores, faults and evidence references from the submitted swing. Working video copies may be kept on the device as described in the app. Analysis records and related evidence references may be stored with the signed-in account to provide history, progress and coaching context.

3. Service providers

PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI uses service providers, including Google Firebase services, for functionality such as authentication, databases, cloud functions, storage, application integrity and related infrastructure. These providers process data as required to operate their services.

4. AI Coach

When you use AI Coach, your question and relevant swing-analysis context are sent to the configured AI service to generate the response. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or other confidential information in AI Coach questions.

5. Purchases and entitlements

Purchase and subscription status may be processed to verify access to subscriptions, included analyses and purchased analysis credits. Payment-card details are handled by the applicable app-store or payment provider and are not required to be stored by PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI.

6. How we use information

• Create and manage accounts.
• Provide swing analysis, evidence, AI coaching and progress tracking.
• Verify subscriptions, credits and other entitlements.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
• Respond to support requests.
• Maintain and improve service reliability and functionality.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that operate parts of PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users, the service or our legal rights.

8. Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and purchase records, meet security and legal requirements, and support legitimate operational needs. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion.

9. Account deletion

Users can request deletion from the app's Settings area. We also provide an external deletion route at pocketgolfcoach.co.za/delete-account.html. Deletion removes or schedules removal of the PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI account and associated personal data, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction or backup purposes.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection or restriction of your personal information. Contact support to make a privacy request.

12. Children

PGC – Pocket Golf Coach AI is not directed at young children. If age-based requirements apply in a user's jurisdiction, the service must be used in accordance with those requirements.

13. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries outside South Africa. Appropriate legal and contractual safeguards apply where required.

14. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
